We will continue this week's post-holiday detox guidelines, focusing on fruits.
Many fruits have been heard about in the process of a diet. There are also diets that exclude them (protein), allegedly containing a lot of natural sugar, others that ban some such as banana due to increased calories and glycemic index, as well as fruit detoxification diets.
I think that even if you exclude them for some time, we should definitely reintroduce them into our diet. Rich in vitamins, they satisfy the sweet feeling and of course diet is not just a matter of calories. It is common sense that between a 100-calorie banana and a "diet" cookie full of preservatives and pigments, you should prefer banana.
After all, there are fruits that contain ingredients that speed up metabolism and help burn fat, such as the following
Studies have shown that half a grapefruit before every meal helps burn fat.
Contains an antioxidant that reduces insulin levels in the blood. This also helps with satiety, sugar breakdown and lipolysis.
Rich in fiber, increase metabolism and cause satiety, Well washed, eaten peel, consume pectin, which helps cells retain moisture, causes satiety and prevents fat storage.
An ideal snack between meals, along with a handful of unsalted raw nuts.
Pomegranate juice is rich in antioxidants that help remove toxins in the body. Polyphenols, as they are called, prevent the accumulation of atherosclerotic plaques in the vessels, speed up metabolism and "cut" the appetite.
Ideally drink a glass of juice before each meal.
According to a study from the University of Michigan Cardiology Center, they reduce the chance of heart disease and diabetes, while in mice they reduce the abdominal thickness by 2%. Rich in antioxidants help remove toxins that lead to weight gain.
Add them to yogurt with oats and make the perfect breakfast.
Many do not know that it is classified as a fruit. It contains Vitamin C which helps in lipolysis, while the carotenoid it contains helps in heart health.
Better to consume it slightly cooked with a little olive oil, because then lycopene extracts and accelerates metabolism.
Apples help to lose weight due to the pectin which is soluble fiber. They cause satiety, while helping to smooth the rise in blood sugar rather than the sharp rise in blood sugar. This results in the smooth secretion of insulin into the body which helps in losing weight.
The presence of pectin also delays the digestion and absorption of macronutrients while enhancing the secretion of digestive enzymes.
However, apple juice does not help as much of the pectin has been removed by squeezing. Apples have few calories and together with their increased dietary fiber content make them an excellent snack.
Recent studies have shown that eating fiber helps prevent obesity because it helps reduce body weight and body fat. This is because when consuming fiber, it causes satiety resulting in reduced food intake and subsequently weight loss.
Studies also show that adults consuming apples have a smaller waist circumference, which proves less belly fat. This results in lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of developing metabolic syndrome.
